Air Conditioning Condenser Brazing Furnace
An air-conditioning condenser brazing furnace is the mission-critical heat-treatment unit in every modern HVAC-R plant, purpose-built to create leak-free, high-strength joints between aluminum fins, micro-channel tubes, and copper or aluminum headers of residential, commercial and automotive condensers. The system exploits Controlled Atmosphere Brazing (CAB) technology under high-purity nitrogen (< 5 ppm O₂, dew point –60 °C) with non-corrosive NOCOLOK® flux, guaranteeing oxide-free surfaces, uniform fillet formation and bright metallic finish without post-braze cleaning.
Operating Principle
Heating is performed in a vacuum environment (operating vacuum ≤ 0.005 Pa), allowing the capillary action of liquid brazing filler metal to fill the gaps in the condenser joints, eliminating the need for flux to prevent oxidation.
Core Configuration
1. Multi-zone muffle furnace (3–12 m hot length) rated 650 °C max, 600 °C operating, ±2 °C uniformity per AMS 2750.
2. Ammonia cracker + molecular-sieve gas panel delivers 75 % H₂ / 25 % N₂ reducing atmosphere for copper components; nitrogen-only mode for all-aluminum cores.
3. 316L stainless-steel mesh belt or roller hearth (width 300–1 350 mm) variable 200–1 500 mm/min; load capacity 50 kg/m².
4. Pre-flux recirculating spray booth with electro-static assist ensures 3–5 g/m² flux deposition, cutting consumption 30 %.
5. Forced-air & water-jacket cooling section cools to < 60 °C exit temperature, eliminating fin distortion.

Maximum temperature 750°C, typical operating temperature 580°C-650°C.
