Servo Control Radiator Expanding Tube Head Machine
Purpose
This machine performs precision tube expansion on fin-and-tube heat exchangers. A single, fully-automated cycle—clamp down → expander mandrels advance → mandrels retract → clamp release → finished—simultaneously seals the tubes, header plates and gaskets to leak-tight requirements.
Working principle
Hydraulic pressure, servo-regulated for repeatable force and position, drives a mechanical expansion head. In one stroke the mandrels enlarge each tube so that its post-expansion OD exceeds the gasket ID. The resultant interference fit locks tube, header and gasket into a monolithic, high-integrity seal.
